Welcome

This is the website for the Eastern Massachusetts chapter of the National Ice Hockey Officials Association. Our chapter supplies officials for high school and college level contests held within the New England area.

Our Mission

Our goal is to continually improve our existing membership and recruit new members in an effort to have the best officials available in the area. The advancement of the membership to its highest level is one of our key objectives.

Becoming a Member

Good character and the highest integrity are prerequisites in applying for membership in the chapter. The first step is to take a written test on the rules of ice hockey as contained in the National Federation Rules Book. The date of this year’s test will be announced at a later date. There is no registration necessary prior to the test. There is a $20 fee, payable by cash or check, the evening of the exam. Upon passing the written test, there will be a scheduled skating test, the date and time have not been determined, but will come several months after the written test.

Pay Dues Now

Annual dues are $120, $57 will be paid directly to National NIHOA and $70 will be paid for EMHOA.
